The Last Lion - Defender of the Realm William Manchester

In this final part of the Winston Churchill trilogy by William Manchester, Churchill must convince an isolationist America to help save Britain, and Europe from the Nazis. Russia, Japan and Italy join with Germany (until Germany invades Russis in 1941), Hitler attacks Britain and Europe and Japan attacks the US, ending their isolation from the war. William Manchester has a stroke and is unable to finish this on his own and Paul Reid is selected to put Manchester's work together and finish the book. The world today is a result of what happened during these years; eighty plus years later this is still important material to read and ponder.
