Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil John Berendt

This is one of my favorite books! I love the setting, the atmosphere, the flamboyant characters, the mystery… I visited the house when I was in Savannah several years ago. This is a book about a wealthy man who has a home in one of Savannah's beautiful squares. Shots were fired early one morning in May 1981 and for the next ten years Savannah was not the same. It is a non-fiction book that reads like a novel. Read it!
