Eisenhower Soldier and President Stephen Ambrose

Ambrose follows Eisenhower from his role as a soldier to Allied Supreme Commander WWII and finally, President of the United States. Eisenhower worked for General MacArthur early in his career and as Supreme Allied Commander he worked with world leaders and the military leaders that were part of the Allied drive to defeat the Nazis. As President, Eisenhower was the first to deal with the Cold War and he also had the Civil Rights movement, atomic weapons and communism on his plate. His relationships with his family and other world leader are also followed. An excellent biography!
